Creature In the Night

Where cold stars exist in the dark,
serene winds whisper to trees
and scarce human ears can listen,
lone songs wail in the distance
in frozen moon’s silver spotlight,
a mark left where paws had paused.

Castlerigg Stone Circle

A very hard frost had occurred overnight turning the ground white with rime. Then as the sun rose, the thin layer of Stratocumulus cloud that was sitting over Blencathra exploded into a fiery sea of colour. Fire and Ice – a perfect combination. Location: Castlerigg situated near Keswick in Cumbria, North West England.

Castlerigg Stone Circle on the outskirts of Keswick, is perhaps the most famous and well visited attraction in the whole of the Lake District National Park.

Staying Focused

To dwell in the here and now does not mean
you never think about the past or responsibly
plan for the future. The idea is simply not to
allow yourself to get lost in regrets about the
past or worries about the future.
If you are firmly grounded in the present moment,
the past can be an object of inquiry, the object of
your mindfulness and concentration. You can attain
many insights by looking into the past. But you are
still grounded in the present moment.
